Thats right suckas I weighed in at 245 even this morning, 19 weeks have passed and I have lost 42 pounds. I didnt exercise much last week, but that should not be a suprise to you. My best meal last week was a grilled chicken salad (made at home), my worst was a grilled chicken sandwich with a bunch fo fries from Red Robin. Fries are a killer…

I put a new pic in the progress gallery. It isnt my best but who cares? :-)

I need to get my bike fixed so I can go on a ride with my buddy Robert, maybe he can whip me into shape.

This week is a short one, I have Thursday and Friday off and am looking forward to a relaxing 4 day weekend. Still need to workout though.

Hopefully I will be checking in at a loss next week.

Let me start by saying I dropped 1.4 more pounds last week.  That gets me to 40.4 pounds lost.  I feel good and am happier that I was in February.

As far as goals last week, lets see how I stacked up.

1.  Pack a lunch every day. – 4/5 days, Rosa and I had lunch together one day.  The rest of the week I ate at my desk.

2.  Eliminate bad snacking, grab an apple or some carrots. – 7/7 days, did pretty good here.  I ate apples, bananas, craisins and applesauce as a snack.

3.  Track everything. – Yup, did good on points

4.  Eat more veggies, get off of the old school Potato kick (Prior to WW, the only vegetable I really ate were Potatoes) – I did decent but didnt diversify enough.

5.  Workout at least 5 times between now and next Monday.  ERRRRRRR…did not even come close.  I have to pick this up.  (Notice the repeating theme)

My worst meal happened to be Sunday.  We went to La Mesa and I didnt hold back on the Chips and Salsa.  My best meal was a grilled chicken breast, plain baked potato, and steamed veggies.

I am going to try to take it slow and workout 3 or 4 times by next Monday.  225 – 230 by the end of August is going to be tough.  I still think I will make it though.

-1 last week, 39 total

I was back on the losing track last week, although it isn’t as much as I would like, every pound counts.  I am 39 pounds lighter.  Last week was interesting, I didn’t work out as much as I would like(of course), and I made excuses(weak) for the days I didn’t.  I ate well but had a couple of bad meals.  Of course I had Outback cheese fries once, which is my last time for a long time….I’m giving them up.  :-)   I really need to try to work out in the morning versus at night.  I already have an issue getting to bed at a decent hour, and working out so late certainly does not help that out at all. 

My goals for this week.

1.  Pack a lunch every day.

+.6 last week

I weighed in at 249 even this week, this is +.6 where I was last week.  I deserved it though, I didn’t exercise enough (only twice) and we were busy running around so we went out to eat too much.  I realize that if I want to make my goal of 225 – 230 by the end of August, I am going to have to step up and dedicate myself to this.  I need to lose about 2 pounds per week in order to meet the goal.  Hopefully I can do it. 

Best Meal – Chicken breast and steamed veggies

Worst Meal (its a dandy) – Red Robin Blue Ribbon burger and steak fries.  Stupid me gave into food temptation.

As you can see by previous posts, we still go out to dinner way too much and I still dont exercise enough.

No workout since Tuesday, been working late and havent given exercise priority…

Boo yea!  I weighed in at 248.4 this morning, down 2.6 pounds from last week.  This puts my loss at 38.6 pounds.  I am happy with this and have settled into a good groove.  Here are my best and worst meals for the week.

Best Meal: BBQ shrimp and chicken, salad, baked potato.  Freaking awesome, filling, and low points. 

Worst Meal:  Birthday meal at Applebees, Boneless wings as an appetizer, chicken fried chicken, mashed potatoes, french fries.  I didn’t finish my food and cut myself off.  In the past I would have easily polished it all off without hesitation.

Today was my first day at the office since May 22nd.  It was hard to get out of bed and back to it.  I had a day full of meetings and time flew by, which is a good.  Tonight, Yadira had a softball game, her team won 9 – 6 or something like that, it was a great game and she played good.

No exercise to tonight, but will hit it hard tomorrow.

last day off…

I havent exercised in two days but had an action packed day yesterday.  We took the kids to Lawrence-Dumont stadium for YMCA sports pictures and it was a complete cluster.  I have come to expect that from the Y though.  We also had a bunch of people over for dinner, I barbecued shrimp and chicken (YUM).  Today we are going to go swimming.  Then I get to try to go to bed early so I can make it to work on time tomorrow, I have  full day of meetings and am on call.  Hopefully it is a quiet week.

I have been enjoying my week off and am in full fleged night owl mode.  I have been staying up way to late and sleeping in.

I have managed to stay pretty active this week, I didnt work out yesterday, but went and played basketball today for an hour and a half.  I had a good time and got a heck of a workout.

My birthday was Tuesday and we went out for dinner, I have said all along I was not going to count points on my birthday.  I kept track of them up until dinner and went way over.  The “good” thing is I didnt even finish my meal and honestly, I didnt enjoy it very much.  I will post details of this meal on Monday.

Monday Update -1.6 more

I weighed in at 251 today, -1.6 pounds gone, 36 total!!.  I didnt work out enough last week but did manage to keep within myAussie CHeese fries points targets.  I think my metabolism needs a kick in the butt though.  My worst meal involved “The worst food in America” according to Mens Health, Aussie cheese fries from Outback.  We really need to stop it with those things.  We did split a “small” order among 5 of us (like that makes it better).  My meal was good though, a 5oz grilled chicken breast and plain baked potato.  The cheese fries killed the meal though.  Bad, bad, bad.

I am off work all week, should be nice and relaxing.  I am going to try to eat healthy and work out every day.  We went to the store today and have plenty of healthy food to eat so we shouldnt be tempted to go out to eat.  I dont know if I will post daily updates, but will update the exercise/activity log as I work out.

I was on a bad streak, a lazy streak.  I didnt work out for 3 straight days and feel like a bum.  Sunday I changed that, we went to the zoo and walked around for about 90 minutes.  I did a full body workout on the crossbow followed up by a 30 minute elliptical workout on Sunday night.  Based on weighing myself tonight though, I dont think I will record much of a loss, if any, on Monday morning for my official weigh in.  Guess I will just have to wait and see.
